Jeju Car Rental near Jeju Airport — JEJU URECAR
JEJU URECAR is a locally owned car rental company 10 minutes from Jeju International Airport, with a free airport shuttle, a dashcam in every car and real-time online booking. From the airport to our office
After you collect your luggage, leave the arrivals hall and follow the signs to the Rent-a-Car House (렌터카하우스), just across the crosswalk. Go to Zone 3-2 (3구역 2번) and board the shuttle marked 제주유레카 / JEJU URECAR. The shuttle is free, runs every 15–20 minutes and takes about 10 minutes to our office. No reservation is needed for the shuttle. The shuttle serves Jeju Airport only — from the ferry port please take a taxi to our office.
Documents you need at pickup
- Passport
- International Driving Permit (IDP) issued under the Geneva (1949) or Vienna (1968) Convention, issued within the last 12 months, together with your home-country driving licence.
- Photos or screenshots of licences are not accepted — bring the original documents.
- Up to 2 drivers can be registered at pickup. Only registered drivers are covered by insurance.
Who can rent
Minimum age and driving experience depend on the car. The four tiers are: 21+ with 1+ year of licence, 23+ / 2+ years, 26+ / 2+ years and 30+ / 3+ years. Drivers must be under 80. Age and experience are counted on the pickup date. Vans with 11 or more seats cannot be rented with an ordinary car licence; vans with up to 9 seats can.

All cars are recent models, non-smoking, with a dashcam, navigation (Korean) and Apple CarPlay / Android Auto on many models (see each car's options on the booking site). Minimum rental is 1 hour (charged at the 24-hour rate), maximum 10 days. Live prices and availability for your exact dates are shown on the Korean booking site (see how to book).
Insurance (CDW options)
Third-party liability insurance is included with every car. Collision damage waiver (자차, "jacha") is optional and chosen when you book:

Not covered by any CDW: tyres, wheels, battery, glass, lost keys, navigation unit, wrong fuel, flooding, interior damage, and accidents by unregistered drivers, drink-driving or accidents not reported immediately. CDW can only be added or upgraded before you leave our office. Availability of each option depends on the driver's age and experience.
Payment
A deposit is paid online by card when you book (the amount is shown before payment; bookings with a pickup time of 20:00 or later are paid in full). The balance is paid at our office at pickup by card or cash. If the online payment does not go through with your card, e-mail us your dates and we will help you complete the booking.
Cancellation and refund
- More than 24 hours before the pickup time: full refund, no fee.
- Within 24 hours of the pickup time: 10% of the total rental amount is deducted.
- After the pickup time (no-show): no refund.
- Flight cancelled because of weather or other force majeure: full refund with proof from the airline.
- Refunds are processed within 3 business days to the original payment method. Returning the car early: if more than 24 hours remain, the remaining rental fee is refunded minus 10%; CDW fees are not refunded.
Pickup and return
- Office

- 08:00–20:00, every day
- Return hours
- 07:30–20:00, every day. No returns before 07:30 and no unattended returns.
- Late flights
- If your flight lands after 19:00, book the pickup for the next morning from 08:00. If a flight booked for before 19:00 is delayed past 20:00, contact us in advance — a self-service pickup may be arranged.
- Fuel
- Return with the same fuel-gauge level as at pickup. Shortfall is charged at return; extra fuel is refunded. Electric cars are settled by battery percentage.
- Extension
- Must be requested and paid before the scheduled return time.
- Not allowed
- Pets, fishing gear, more passengers than seats (including infants), taking the car to Udo or other islands (no insurance cover off the main island).
How to book
- Online (Korean site): open www.urecarjeju.com in Chrome or Safari and use the browser's translate function. Choose dates, your age/experience tier, a car and a CDW option, enter your name, phone number and date of birth (YYYYMMDD), then pay the deposit. You receive a 10-digit booking number.
- By e-mail: send us your pickup and return dates/times, preferred car category, number of passengers, your name, nationality and flight number. We reply in English with a quote and a payment link or instructions.
